Bile Ratha

Bile Ratha is the Celtic version of the tree of life, a motif found in many mythologies such as the Norse Yggdrasil, the Mayan yax imix che, and the Upanishads Universal Tree. It is associated with the ancient mating of heaven and earth - the Great Marriage.

The World Tree links humanity to the cosmos as its roots press toward earth's axis and its branches reach toward heaven.

The Celts regarded Bile Ratha as the symbol for the center of the universe, the axis mundi, which is also a place of entrance to the Otherworld.

Interesting Sites

Do As One: Number 1, because I think it's a good cause as well as an interesting experiment in intent thought. People have different ways of expressing sending out good wishes/interior assistance directed toward another. Some call it prayer, some sending good vibes, some simply as "I'm thinking about you." Whatever you call it, it's one thing and the same - focused cognition for a specific purpose. That kind of thought has had proven physical result. I've written about it before.

And here's another really interesting study about how thought influences physical reality.

The site is good for de-stressing, global unity, and science. Who can even not like that. Also, they need a billion synchronous breathers by November! Take part if only for the scientific inquiry.

For right now, Number 2 is a webcam located on the grounds of the National Conservation Training Center near the Potomac in Shepherdstown, West Virginia. It's an eagle's nest where a mating pair are caretaking two eggs. The nest is at least 5 seasons old and is now 6 - 8 feet across and weighs about a thousand pounds!

And Stumbleupon is a great site for exploring all kinds of interests from nature to cooking to architecture to photography and anything else that makes you passionate. Enjoy!
